Is it a bird, is it a plane or is it an insane asylum revolting in the streets? No it’s the super intense free rock of the Acid Mothers crossing the wires between the vehement unfettered music of John Coltrane and the tribal traditions of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. This time out leader/guitarist Makoto Kawabata is joined by new astrally erotic vocalist Nao as well as members of the Japanese noise elite coming from such monster bands as The Boredoms, Ghost, Zeni Geva and Gong. The ensuing fierce interplay of acoustic guitars, oscillating electronics, gentle flutes and huge choruses of voices traverses the dynamic spectrum resting at delicate intervals before the coming cosmic storm. These guys have definitely seen the other side of the sky.
