The Shaky Hands Prep Self-Titled Debut, Sign to Holocene Music

January 24th, 2007

Holocene Music has announced the signing of Portland-based jangly pop wonders The Shaky Hands. The announcement comes on the heels of a flurry of local excitement that’s seen Willamette Week’s Casey Jarman proclaiming The Shaky Hands “the best rock band in Portland” and Thermals’ front-man Hutch Harris dropping props on indie behemoth Pitchforkmedia.com. Holocene Music will release the The Shaky Hands’ self-titled debut on April 10th, and coinciding tour plans are currently being hashed out. A video for album track “Why & How Come,” to be directed by Whitey (Band of Horses, The Thermals, The Shins, Mudhoney, Panther), is currently in the works.
